FBI Raids Late Sen. Lindsey Graham’s Home Following Shocking Death
FBI agents swarmed the home of the late Sen. Lindsey Graham on Capitol Hill following his unexpected death from a ruptured aorta. The South Carolina Republican passed away just two days prior, sending shockwaves through political circles.
At least five agents were spotted entering and exiting the residence around 2:30 p.m. ET, with one agent seen carrying a clipboard and another donning latex gloves, indicating a serious investigation underway.

Jerrett Wilson, vacationing in Fort Lauderdale and staying at a nearby Airbnb, recounted the chaotic scene. “Saturday night we were coming back from dinner about 9:30, and the street was shut down. Paramedics, law enforcement, and as we were walking up, they stopped us,” he said.
Wilson continued, “We told them where we were staying at. They let us go, and as we were walking up there, we saw the gurney being rolled out with somebody on.”

Heavy law enforcement presence persisted throughout the day, with reports of the ATF also on-site, interviewing neighbors and investigating the circumstances surrounding Graham's death.
Preliminary findings from the DC medical examiner's office indicated that chronic heart disease led to the ruptured aorta. Emergency Medical Services audio revealed a dispatcher called for medics around 8:30 p.m. ET on Saturday night due to someone suffering chest pains at Graham's residence.
Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) commented on the situation, stating that the aortal tear “obviously could cause his death … but given where he was and the sorts of things he was advocating for, I think we just ought to resolve all those questions by seeing what the toxicology reports show.”
Graham, who was 71 years old, had just returned from Ukraine after meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky. This trip marked his tenth visit to Kyiv since the onset of war, and his bipartisan sanctions bill had recently received approval from the Trump White House to advance through Congress.
FBI Director Kash Patel announced that the FBI “is assisting local authorities and has made every necessary resource available” in the investigation into Graham's death. Federal agents were dispatched to his home on the same day as his passing.

A law enforcement source confirmed there is no evidence of foul play linked to Graham's sudden death. However, the abruptness of his demise right after an international trip has ignited rampant speculation online.
In a historical parallel, Rep. Larry McDonald (D-Ga.), known for his staunch anti-communist stance in Congress, was killed in office when a Soviet Su-15 interceptor jet shot down a commercial plane he was aboard in 1983, resulting in over 260 fatalities.
Soviet officials later acknowledged their involvement in firing on the plane, with accusations directed at Americans for attempting espionage.
