Connor Michael Murphy, a fitness influencer, died after a chaotic episode that included trashing a luxury rental and jumping into a lake naked. The American national reportedly believed in injecting liquid gold to gain superpowers. He was found in Bang Phli, Thailand on July 8 after displaying erratic behavior.

Witnesses described a standoff with police during Murphy's naked rampage, which culminated in him running into the lake in an agitated state. Reports indicate that he was deeply involved in biohacking and had mystical beliefs surrounding gold.

A fellow enhancement enthusiast known as Tony Huge claimed, "Up until his passing, he was discovering that he had achieved some superhuman abilities." He asserted that Murphy had tapped into a level of consciousness beyond most people's reach.

Another individual, Androgenic, stated that Murphy believed gold was a secret mineral that could grant special powers if ingested. These claims remain unverified by Thai authorities, and no official cause of death has been released.

Earlier that evening, Murphy returned to the luxury rental by taxi, acting strangely according to a security guard. The guard reported that Murphy began shouting, rolling on the tarmac, and lifting his arms as if in prayer. When police arrived, he charged into the estate and plunged into the 10-meter-deep lake, swimming until he grew tired and vanished beneath the surface.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Santirat Ngernman reported that Murphy became agitated with officers and refused to let anyone approach him. Witnesses did not enter the water due to its depth. Murphy had been in a relationship with his partner for approximately three years. They had moved into the 22 million THB (£493,000) rental home together about three months prior.

His partner stated it was the first time he had behaved in such a manner and expressed confusion over what triggered the incident. She claimed it began the previous night when he allegedly threw paint throughout their rented accommodation while she slept.

Authorities discovered two unused syringes on the driver's seat of Murphy's car along with numerous unidentified white tablets in his bum bag. His partner insisted she had never seen him use drugs. The landlord was reportedly shocked to find paint splattered across the property, including on furniture and electronic devices.

Murphy had amassed nearly three million followers across social media platforms, where he shared content related to comedy, bodybuilding, fitness, and philosophy.
