Florida Buttlift Surgeon Sentenced to Four Years for Fatal Injection of Kim Kardashian Doppelgänger

A Florida woman, Vivian Alexandra Gomez, 53, has been sentenced to four years in prison for her role in the death of Christina Ashten Gourkani, an OnlyFans model and Kim Kardashian lookalike, due to a disastrous backroom butt lift.

Gomez was convicted of involuntary manslaughter by a jury in San Mateo County, CA, in March. The court found her guilty of performing unlicensed silicone injections that resulted in Gourkani's death from complications in April 2023.

The victim, 44, succumbed to respiratory failure and a pulmonary embolism directly linked to the illegal Brazilian butt lift procedure intended to mimic Kardashian's figure. Prosecutors detailed the grim circumstances surrounding the case.

Gomez conducted these dangerous procedures in a hotel room, showcasing her blatant disregard for medical regulations. She also faced charges for practicing medicine without a license, a felony that underscores the severity of her actions.

Authorities have repeatedly warned that bargain-basement cosmetic procedures pose significant risks. Dr. Michael Obeng, a board-certified plastic surgeon, highlighted the dangers of illicit operations, noting that they have resulted in fatalities on numerous occasions.

“Most of these illegal injections are made with silicone, and silicone or any foreign substance can migrate within the body, which can lead to infection and hardness over time, deforming parts of the body,” Obeng stated. He further explained that such injections can enter the bloodstream, potentially blocking blood vessels and causing necrosis.

Gourkani’s family shared their anguish through an online fundraiser, recounting the moment they received the devastating news. They described a frantic phone call from a family member who was “screaming and crying hysterically” that “Ashten is dying.”

This tragic call shattered their world and will haunt them forever, as expressed in the fundraiser that raised $6,600 before closing.

The viral Kim K lookalike was remembered as a “caring and loving free spirit” who brought joy to everyone she encountered. Her family emphasized that “Ashten’s spirit is a light that will forever carry on to her loved ones around her and those that she has left behind.”
