Fox News Viewers Rage as Tom Homan Defends ICE Killing
Tom Homan's recent defense of ICE's actions has ignited fury among Fox News viewers, particularly after the shooting death of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a 52-year-old construction business owner and father of three.
The incident occurred during a traffic stop in Houston’s East End, where an ICE officer shot and killed Salgado. This has sparked outrage across the nation, contrasting the official government narrative with eyewitness accounts.
New revelations from the Department of Homeland Security indicate that Salgado was not the intended target. Agents were pursuing two Guatemalan individuals but mistakenly intercepted Salgado's white van, which they claimed "resembled the target's" vehicle.
During his appearance on The Will Cain Show, with the banner reading, "ICE: Officer shot and killed illegal immigrant who tried to ram him with his car in Houston," Homan stated, "When people act outside policy or act in violation of the law, they will be held accountable."

He recounted his experience in Minnesota, where he brought in more internal affairs officers to investigate allegations against agents, resulting in disciplinary actions against some. Homan asserted, "We will do the right thing based on the findings of the investigation. We’ll hold our people accountable. You have my word on that."
Host Will Cain supported Homan's stance, emphasizing that an investigation would take place without bias regarding its outcome, labeling it "the right approach."
Social media erupted following the broadcast, with users expressing skepticism. One user remarked, "These are good words. But what matters are actions. If he wants to show a break from the chaos of Noem and Bovino, then demonstrate that accountability is real."
Another user demanded preventative measures, stating, "We don’t need some drawn-out BS investigation when millions of us can see these crimes with our own eyes!"

A third user mocked Homan, calling him a "bald-headed liar," while another quipped about selling oceanfront property in Phoenix, Arizona, sarcastically suggesting that Homan's assurances were worthless.
One user bluntly stated, "Your word means nothing. Put it in writing."
In the aftermath of Salgado's death, multiple investigations have been initiated by the DHS Office of Inspector General, the FBI's Houston division, the Harris County District Attorney, and the Houston Police Department.
Texas Democratic lawmakers, civil rights organizations, and the Mexican government are demanding an independent criminal investigation into the incident.
Following this turmoil, a former Trump staffer has made chilling predictions about future actions from the president.
