Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin Join Forces in Nashville for Apple’s Graduation Bash

May 10 2026

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin put aside their past to celebrate a monumental occasion: their daughter Apple’s college graduation. The former couple was spotted together in Nashville, beaming with pride as they watched Apple snag her degree from Vanderbilt University.

In a family affair that included their son Moses, the trio was photographed soaking in the moment as Apple walked across the stage. Chris, the 49-year-old frontman of Coldplay, rocked an effortlessly cool all-black outfit while strolling through campus with 20-year-old Moses, who sported a light blue button-up and gray pants, casually draping a white sweater around his waist.

Paltrow, 53, added a splash of vibrancy to the scene in a striking red sweater paired with a flowing light blue maxi dress. The actress, known for her role in “Iron Man,” was seen walking arm-in-arm with her husband Brad Falchuk, while Apple, clad in her cap and gown, walked closely beside them.

Apple looked like a spitting image of her mother, carrying a bouquet of pristine white roses that perfectly complemented her white dress peeking out from under her gown. She completed her graduation ensemble with chic black kitten heels, embodying elegance on her special day.

Chris and Gwyneth famously chose to “consciously uncouple” back in 2014 after over a decade of marriage. Their amicable co-parenting relationship has flourished since then, with Gwyneth even referring to Chris as “like [her] brother.”

Just last week, the 21-year-old grad took to Instagram to share a series of stunning graduation photos. Dressed in a white cotton Vivienne Westwood dress priced at $1,020 and black ballet flats, she embraced the tradition of wearing white—a color often associated with new beginnings.

The carousel of snapshots featured Apple posing around campus with friends—lounging on leather couches, striking poses in the library, and celebrating with her besties, all decked out in caps and gowns alongside various white dresses.

“A bittersweet moment. How lucky we are to have these memories ❤️,” she captioned one of her posts, encapsulating the joy and nostalgia of this significant milestone.
