Footage from a recent deposition concerning Jeffrey Epstein captured former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton confronting Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) for allegedly breaching House Oversight Committee rules. The tension escalated when Clinton's attorney pointed out that images from the closed-door session had been leaked, prompting her to declare, “I’m done with this if you guys are doing that, I am done.”
Clinton's frustration was palpable as she continued, “You can hold me in contempt from now until the cows come home. This is just typical behavior.” The incident arose after Boebert shared a photo with conservative commentator Benny Johnson, who subsequently posted it online. Clinton's exasperation was evident when she exclaimed, “Oh, for heaven’s sake! We all are abiding by the same rules.”
Her attorney emphasized the gravity of the situation, especially since Clinton had previously requested a public hearing—a request denied by GOP lawmakers. Following the exchange, the deposition was briefly paused while Clinton took a break from her testimony. Upon her return, House Oversight Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) reiterated the prohibition against releasing any photos or videos from the session.
“We have made clear that that’s not allowed,” Comer stated firmly. Earlier in the proceedings, a committee representative had also highlighted that disclosing deposition content before its official release violates House and Committee rules.
In response to the controversy, Boebert told CPR News that her photo was taken before the deposition commenced and argued that no explicit rule prohibited photography. Clinton’s remarks regarding the rules underscored her and former President Bill Clinton's concerns about their treatment during the House Republicans' subpoenas related to Epstein.

During her opening statements, Clinton scrutinized the Republicans' approach to the investigation, questioning their reluctance to interrogate former President Donald Trump about his connections to Epstein. “What is being held back? Who is being protected? And why the cover-up?” she pressed.
Clinton maintained that she had “no recollection” of ever meeting Epstein and was unaware of his and Ghislaine Maxwell’s criminal activities. She did mention that Epstein had attended an event at the White House during her husband’s administration, hosted by the White House Historical Association, but she had no memory of interacting with him there. Additionally, she described her acquaintance with Maxwell as “casual,” primarily knowing her as someone who had dated businessman Ted Waitt.
