Murderer Stabs Influencer Girlfriend 81 Times, Sets Car Ablaze, Jailed for Life
Eugene Louis-Jacques, 24, brutally murdered his influencer girlfriend, Beauty Couch, 22, stabbing her 81 times before setting her car ablaze. The horrific crime unfolded in Austell, Georgia, where emergency crews responded to a vehicle fire on August 23, 2023.

Couch, known online as Beauty Katera, had amassed over 140,000 Instagram followers through her roller-skating and dance videos. Her life was cut short in a gruesome act of violence that shocked her fans and the community.
Jurors convicted Louis-Jacques of multiple charges: malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, arson, concealing a death, and tampering with evidence. Judge Kimberly Childs sentenced him to life without parole plus an additional 20 years.

Prosecutors revealed that Couch's body was discovered in a wooded area near her burning vehicle. Investigators found a traffic citation with Louis-Jacques' name close to the scene, which helped trace him to Louisiana after the murder.
Authorities arrested Louis-Jacques after tracking his vehicle. During the trial, he initially provided officers with a false name upon his arrest. His defense attorney, Bryan Lumpkin, argued the absence of direct forensic evidence linking his client to the crime, claiming no blood was found in his vehicle or on his clothing.

Despite the defense's claims, prosecutors highlighted Louis-Jacques' flight from Georgia following Couch's death and presented electronic evidence placing him near the scene around the time she vanished.
After the guilty verdict, prosecutor Jared Horowitz urged the court to impose the maximum punishment for the brutal crime. Following the discovery of Couch's body, Cobb County Police stated that "foul play is suspected" after locating a body matching her description near the burned vehicle.

Beauty Couch's mother, Kimberly Couch, described her daughter as "a friend to everybody," emphasizing the loss felt by those who knew her.
Louis-Jacques was sentenced to life without parole plus an additional 20 years.
