Influencer's Shocking Death Linked to Blackmail Over Risqué Photos
Ayşegül Eraslan, a rising star in the influencer world, is at the center of a chilling narrative as her family alleges she was blackmailed over explicit photos just before her untimely death at 27.
Hasan Yilmaz, the attorney representing Eraslan's family, asserts they possess damning evidence of the blackmail, including the sensitive images and threats that left the Turkish influencer in a state of distress, according to reports from local media.
The family has taken their claims to court, presenting this evidence, yet despite identifying the suspects, authorities have yet to take their statements.
Yilmaz expressed the family's outrage over the handling of the investigation into Eraslan's death, demanding that a specialized unit tackle this suspicious case with the urgency it deserves. Transparency between investigators and the public is non-negotiable, he insists.
On March 13, Eraslan was found dead in her home in Kağıthane, Turkey. Her family grew concerned when they couldn't reach her and decided to check on her.
When no one answered the door, they called the police. Authorities arrived to find her lifeless body, declaring her dead at the scene.
Investigators collected crucial evidence, including Eraslan's cellphone, handwritten notes from her apartment, and blood samples from a knife believed to be involved in her death.
The Kağıthane Public Security Bureau's probe revealed that Eraslan had just returned from a vacation in Egypt on March 11, dragging her suitcase into her building.
Security footage suggests actor Sunay Kurtuluș was the last person seen entering Eraslan's apartment an hour before her death. He was spotted leaving shortly after.
Kurtuluș was brought in for questioning but was released after providing his statement. His legal team clarified that he was merely a witness and not implicated in any wrongdoing.
