ITV's Major Quiz Show Faces Execution After Just One Season
ITV's latest quiz show, Time is Money, is on the verge of cancellation after only one season, hosted by a prominent Strictly star.
The show debuted on January 1, 2026, but reports indicate it won't return for a second season. Contestants faced intense pressure as they began each game with potential winnings that could vanish with any hesitation or wrong answer.

Sara Davies, the host known for her roles in Dragons' Den and Strictly Come Dancing, described the show as "quick" and "intense," emphasizing the critical nature of staying calm under pressure.
She stated, "I get to guide contestants through the highs and lows, keep the pace moving, and share in those moments where a split-second decision changes everything." The show aimed to deliver smart, dramatic entertainment that kept viewers on the edge of their seats.

Despite the anticipated cancellation of Time is Money, fans can still stream all episodes from its first season on ITVX.
ITV has been home to popular game shows like The Chase, Tipping Point, and Lingo, but it has also faced tough decisions regarding programming this year.

Earlier in the year, another show, The Summit, hosted by Ben Shephard, was reportedly axed due to disappointing viewing figures. This high-budget competition series launched in February and featured 14 contestants attempting to scale one of New Zealand's tallest peaks for a £200,000 prize.
The inaugural season of The Summit spanned eight episodes but failed to meet ITV's expectations for viewership.
Time is Money will not be returning for a second season.
