Vanilla Ice Desperately Pleads for Fans After Trump Festival Flops

Vanilla Ice is in damage control mode after his scheduled performance at a Trump-backed festival was yanked just two hours before showtime, leaving fans high and dry.

The rapper, known for his retro hits, took to Instagram to promote his upcoming tour following the chaotic fallout from the Freedom 250 Great American State Fair. He donned a black hoodie and cap in a video urging fans to buy tickets and join him for live performances.

“Go Ninja! Go Ninja! Go! Hey! Come join us for the I Love the 90’s tour. You’ll be a teenager no matter how old you are. Relive the greatest decade before computers ruin the world,” he declared, pushing the nostalgia button hard. “You got all the great music you grew up to. So get in where you fit in. Come and join us for the original party and that’s it.” This promotional push came after his concert was abruptly scrapped due to torrential rain.

Vanilla Ice, whose real name is Robert Matthew Van Winkle, was slated to perform on June 26. The cancellation came as a shock, with organizers pulling the plug just before he was set to hit the stage. Hours earlier, he had been hyping up the event on social media, telling fans to “put your dance shoes on.”

In a video meant to rally excitement, he called it an “honor” to perform at the Trump event, brandishing a gold microphone and proclaiming, “Here we are, man. We got the monument right there, we’re about to have a great party tonight. This is going to be epic.” He then panned the camera to reveal an empty field where fans were supposed to gather.

“You can see it, look here, I’ll give you a big panoramic view. It’s gonna be good tonight,” he continued, oblivious to the impending disappointment. He wrapped up the clip by urging followers once more: “Put your dancing shoes on, we’re all teenagers, let’s go!” His caption read, “Once in a lifetime, happy birthday America. Put your dance shoes on.”

Fans were left buzzing with anticipation only to be crushed when news of the cancellation spread like wildfire. “Did this get rescheduled? I was so bummed to get down there tonight and everything being closed!” one fan lamented beneath his video.

Another follower chimed in with a laughing emoji, asking, “How was the concert?!” as disappointment echoed across social media. A third critic bluntly stated, “I’m embarrassed for you Robert.”
