Ivanka Trump Ripped Apart for 'Staggering' Insensitivity Amidst National Struggles

Jun 23 2026

Ivanka Trump’s latest social media post has ignited outrage, with critics labeling her tone-deafness as "staggering."

The First Daughter shared a carousel of images from her brother Donald Trump Jr.'s wedding, which took place on May 21. The post featured a photobomb by Don Jr. as Ivanka posed with her husband, Jared Kushner.

In the comments, users expressed their discontent. One remarked on the "staggering" insensitivity of the post, while another stated, "The level of tone deaf is deafening." A third user pointed out that the images were "out of our tax bracket."

Comments continued to pour in, with one user stating, "The MAGAt peasants think the billionaires care for their plight," and another sarcastically noting, "Must be glorious taking over the World." A sixth commenter added, "All the crooks in one picture imagine that."

Another pointedly remarked, "While the American people struggle and there is no accountability for corruption as promised, you lot just party. Nicely done." Others simply labeled the family as "grifters and crooks," expressing their disgust.

Despite the backlash, Don Jr. joked about his photobombing skills, claiming he pulled off "the best photobomb ever." His new wife, Bettina, expressed gratitude to Ivanka in the comments.

Supporters of Ivanka also chimed in, praising the family photos. One user found the photobombs hilarious and commented on how incredible and happy they looked. Another declared them "the most beautiful presidential family in history."

After the photobomb, Ivanka shared a photo of herself, Jared, and Bettina posing together at night. Other images included Ivanka with her siblings and a shot of the newlyweds post-ceremony.

Ivanka captioned her post with a message of joy for her brother and sister-in-law, congratulating them and expressing love.

The wedding had around 40 attendees, including Don Jr.'s five children and his siblings. Notably absent were President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, who cited government obligations as the reason for their absence.

Ivanka's wardrobe for the weekend was estimated to cost around $8,534. One standout piece was a yellow Leo Lin Rosario Appliqué Bustier Mini Dress paired with white Aquazzura Calypso Raffia sandals.

The dress originally retailed for $895, with similar styles now on sale for prices ranging from $445 to $625. The shoes were priced at $1,160 on the Aquazzura website.

"While I very much wanted to be with my son, Don Jr., and the newest member of the Trump Family, his soon-to-be wife, Bettina, circumstances pertaining to Government, and my love for the United States of America, do not allow me to do so," the president wrote on social media the day before.
