Trump's Bizarre Rant: 'DUMB' Ends with a 'B' and Other Absurdities

Jun 20 2026

Donald Trump unleashed a baffling tirade on Truth Social, declaring that "many people don’t know, or assume, that DUMB ends in 'b.'" This absurd statement came during a spontaneous poll asking users to choose between "Dumocrat" and "Dumbocrat."

The poll attracted over 33,000 responses in under two hours. This bizarre post coincided with Iran's announcement to re-close the Strait of Hormuz, claiming Israel violated ceasefire terms by continuing attacks against Lebanon.

Earlier this year, Trump introduced the "Dumocrat" nickname while targeting House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. At a rally for Rep. Mike Lawler in the Hudson Valley, he recounted how the name struck him while watching Jeffries speak.

Trump described Jeffries as a "low-IQ person," stating, "I watched what he was saying, and what the horrible things he was saying, and I said he’s a dumb guy. I said 'Wait a minute, he’s a dumocrat,' that’s how I got the name."

These comments followed Jeffries branding Trump as "the dumbest president ever" back in April. Jeffries challenged Trump to a debate, asserting, "If Donald Trump wants to debate me anytime, any place, in the Oval Office, publicly, on camera, I’d be happy to do it and we’ll see who’s intellectually superior."

Jeffries continued, "It’s extraordinary to me that Donald Trump keeps recycling this low IQ insult. It’s from the dumbest president ever to sit at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and there’s not even a close second."

Trump's poll also came amid his ongoing feud with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. He accused her of seeking photo opportunities during the G7 summit in France while her approval ratings plummeted back home.

In his post, Trump claimed, "Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni asked, over and over, for a picture with me during the G-7 meeting in France. She is doing poorly in Italy with her level of popularity."

He criticized her for rejecting U.S. support regarding Iran's nuclear ambitions and for not allowing the U.S. to use Italy's landing strips or runways. Trump stated, "Now, after the United States defeated Iran militarily, she wants to be friends again in order to get her 'numbers up. No thanks!'"

Meloni responded on Instagram, asserting that her friendship with Trump "certainly has not" boosted her popularity in Italy. She emphasized that her standing depends on defending Italy's national interests.

She added, "That is also what I did regarding the American military bases in Italy. Their use is governed by agreements that we have always respected, and that cannot be violated as long as I am Prime Minister. Italy remains a sovereign nation."
