JD Vance's Suit Disaster Steals Spotlight from Royal Visit
JD Vance turned heads for all the wrong reasons at a recent state dinner, where he was supposed to be playing host to the British Royals. Instead, his wardrobe malfunction overshadowed the historic occasion.
As King Charles III and Queen Camilla graced the White House, the event was meant to celebrate 250 years of U.S.-U.K. relations. But while dignitaries like Supreme Court Justices and business moguls mingled, it was Vance’s tight suit that became the main attraction.
Accompanied by his pregnant wife, Usha, Vance quickly became a target for social media mockery. One user quipped, “Her dress is lovely. JD looks like he’s never used clothes before.”
Another chimed in with, “JD wearing the high school theatre department's costume marked ‘butler’—it was altered for last year’s senior, not him.”

“He dresses like a 5-year-old kid whose mom lets him pick,” another commenter added, while others focused on the bizarre style choices. “The tails are killing me. When do they get the powdered wigs?”
“Is he going horse riding afterwards??” someone joked on X, while another savage commenter remarked, “Bro scavenged a wardrobe from the Titanic wreckage for that party.”
One particularly brutal comment asked, “Why are his legs a trapezoid?”
While Vance faced ridicule, Usha’s gown received praise, but not without its own share of criticism regarding their relationship. “So sick of seeing pics of her gazing at him like he is a savior, instead of a racist, ignorant, useless human,” one critic blasted.

“Looks like her date was a penguin,” another jabbed, highlighting the couple's contrasting appearances.
The Vances are expecting their fourth child this July, with Usha proudly showcasing her baby bump during the royal meet-and-greet. They already have three kids: Ewan, 8, Vivek, 6, and Mirabel, 4.
Rumors of a rift between Usha and JD flared up when she was spotted at an event sans her wedding ring. However, a spokesperson quickly shot down those speculations, explaining that “She’s a mother of three young children who does a lot of dishes and baths and sometimes forgets her ring.”
This royal visit marked the first by a British monarch since Queen Elizabeth's 2007 trip hosted by George Bush, making it all the more ironic that Vance’s fashion faux pas stole the show during such a significant occasion.
