Jesse Watters Labeled 'Dumb' by Fox News Viewers Over Outlandish Iran Deal Claims

Jesse Watters, during a Fox News broadcast, made jaw-dropping claims about a peace deal between the United States and Iran, igniting outrage among viewers.

On June 15, Watters discussed President Donald Trump's announcement regarding the peace deal. He aired footage of Trump, who is 80 years old, arriving at the G7 Summit to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron, aged 48. Trump asserted that the primary oil export route, the Strait of Hormuz, would be reopened under his deal.

Watters claimed to have insider information about the Strait never being closed again. This statement came after viewers expressed their discontent with the network, accusing it of resembling "North Korean state TV."

Watters declared, "Once they sign on Friday, the Strait immediately opens. No tolls. Never. And no money exchanges hands." He continued, "The blockade will be lifted once we see the mosquito fleet and drones stand down. The Strait is already coming back to life."

He further stated, "Now we're told exactly where the mines are. Multiple sea routes are safe and secure," before revealing his so-called scoop: "We're also told by Senior White House officials that there is a mechanism in the deal so that no one can ever close the Strait ever again."

Viewers took to social media to criticize Watters' remarks, particularly the "mechanism" aspect, which many found implausible.

One user mocked, "A magical mechanism from the land of MAGA make-believe. Seriously?"

Another chimed in, "Does he know how dumb he is? Oh yeah, of course not."

During the press briefing with Macron, Trump boasted that reopening the Strait of Hormuz would lead to falling oil prices.

Trump proclaimed, "I think a lot of great things are going to happen with the Middle East right now. Very importantly, the oil is plummeting down. And the stock market is shooting up like a rocket today. Record type of numbers."

He added, "And the oil is taking its biggest plunge. We're into the low numbers."

Trump emphasized, "We're getting closer to the numbers we were before it all started." He concluded with a firm statement: "And the main thing is that Iran will not have a nuclear weapon."

The official signing ceremony of the peace deal with Iran and the U.S. will take place on June 19, in Switzerland.
