Jon Stewart Unleashes on Trump’s Bizarre Eulogy for Lindsey Graham
Jon Stewart slammed President Donald Trump for delivering a bizarre eulogy for Sen. Lindsey Graham, who recently passed away at 71. Trump’s tribute was anything but traditional.
During a call to Fox News, Trump recounted how often Graham reached out to him. “He would call me all the time,” Trump stated, adding, “I’d say, ‘Stop calling me, Lindsey.’”
Stewart didn’t hold back, launching into a Trump impression. “I’ll never forget the way that I always let him go to voicemail,” he quipped. “It was our thing.”

Stewart anticipated some heartfelt sentiment but instead played clips of Trump mocking Graham’s golf skills and his failed presidential run in 2016. “I wanted to see the war with Ukraine end very quickly. I think he was more into, y’know, keeping it going, frankly,” Trump said in one clip. He also remarked, “He was a total workaholic politician. Some people don’t call that work. Some people call that a lot of talking.”
After the clips, Stewart paused for ten seconds, clearly taken aback. “I think the president has zoomed through the first five stages of grief,” he finally remarked. “And gone straight to number 6: ‘Fuck that guy.’”
Even more shocking than Trump’s odd memories was the fact that Graham marked the sixth member of Congress to die this term. Stewart pointed out the alarming trend. “If this were any other business, they’d shut it down to figure out what the fuck is going on,” he said. “Gas leak? Serial killer? Six of them are dead! My God, those are Petco gerbil numbers.”
“What, do they just come into Congress every morning with a shovel?” he continued. “What the fuck is going on down there? It’s not like the job is dangerous. They’re just sitting there.”
Stewart then shifted focus to the aging leadership in the nation. “We don’t have a system that rewards experience and competence and performance. We have a system that rewards incumbency,” he stated. “These people aren’t brilliant. They’re fucking barnacles, utterly incapable of addressing a world moving much faster than the speed of ‘Matlock.’”
