Karoline Leavitt's Eerie Prediction Precedes Correspondents Dinner Shooting — Now It's Trending

Apr 27 2026

Hours before chaos erupted at the 2026 White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, press secretary Karoline Leavitt made a chilling remark that would soon resonate with grim accuracy. “It will be funny. It will be entertaining. There will be some shots fired tonight in the room,” she stated on the red carpet to Fox News, moments before the event commenced at the Washington Hilton Hotel. “Everyone should tune in, it’s gonna be really great. I’m looking forward to hearing it.”

As the evening unfolded, gunfire disrupted the festivities, prompting an immediate evacuation of President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and other high-ranking officials by Secret Service agents. Fortunately, all were unharmed during the incident.

In a press conference later that night, Trump confirmed that one officer sustained a gunshot wound but was saved by his bullet-proof vest. The situation escalated when Cole Allen, a 31-year-old from Torrance, California, allegedly breached a security checkpoint and opened fire. Allen, who was not injured during the incident, was transported to a local hospital and is expected to face federal charges on Monday.

Investigators are currently probing the motives behind the shooting. Following the incident, the White House revealed that Allen had authored writings indicating a desire to target administration officials.

In a post on X, Leavitt expressed her outrage, stating that the WHCA dinner was “hijacked by a depraved crazy person.” She lamented, “What was supposed to be a fun night at the @WHCA dinner with President Trump delivering jokes and celebrating free speech was hijacked by a depraved crazy person who sought to assassinate the President and kill as many top Trump administration officials as possible.”

Leavitt recounted how she, along with Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, were swiftly escorted to safety by Secret Service agents. She commended the president for his courage, noting, “But as [Trump] said last night, this political violence needs to end.”

She concluded her remarks with gratitude towards law enforcement for their swift response, particularly praising the agent who was shot yet managed to neutralize the threat. “Pray for our country,” she urged, highlighting the need for unity in the face of such violence.
