Katie Price's Emotional Confession: Peter Andre Was My 'Prince' in New Documentary

Jul 04 2026

Katie Price, reflecting on her past, declared that meeting Peter Andre in the jungle was the "best time in her life." The former glamour model, now 48, dives into her three-decade career in a new Sky TV documentary series.

In a revealing moment, director Paddy Wivell presents her with an iPad to relive her first encounter with singer Andre in 2004. The footage captures their initial flirtation in the Australian camp.

As she watches, Price admits, "If I like someone like I liked him, I go all shy. I can’t look at them, and I go all like giddy. It’s pathetic, but that’s what I was like. You could see we were into each other and it is so cute to look at."

Her brother Daniel recalls watching from home, noting, "I know when Kate is knee deep because she just has this glaze across her eyes. It’s like a puppy in a shop window waiting to be picked up. A never-ending glare into space because she’s so mesmerized and smitten. And she had that with Pete."

Price reflects, "By the end of it I was smitten with him. Meeting Pete and being with Pete were the best times of my life, without a doubt." She adds, "I had my prince, I knew I would be with him forever."

After leaving the jungle, they enjoyed a fairytale romance, marrying in 2005 and welcoming children Junior and Princess. They starred in their own reality show on ITV. However, their relationship soured, leading to a split in 2009 marked by a bitter feud.

Katie described the aftermath as "spiraling out of control."

The documentary also reveals that Katie's mother had doubts about their whirlwind romance from the start. She traveled to Australia to greet Katie upon her exit from the jungle and recalled, "I knew when she’d come out, she’d be all dolally over him. 'I want to be with him all the time. I want to marry him. Oh, Pete, Pete, Pete, Pete.' Yeah, she was just totally besotted."

Katie confirms, "My mum was suspicious from the start."

This insight appears in the second installment of the documentary, with more details about their breakup expected in upcoming episodes three and four.

The complete series launches on July 8, allowing viewers to binge all four episodes on Sky. Katie introduced the program at Sheffield Documentary Festival last month.

She expressed pride in her journey, stating, "I’ve got beautiful kids. I’ve still got an amazing family. There’s not that many friends left for me because I’ve learned that some of the friends are people I’ve needed to get rid of."

Price believes she is now the best version of herself: "It’s like I’ve been in a washing machine and come out the other side with the experience and the knowledge, and I am at peace with myself."

Despite being married to Lee Andrews currently, she hinted at future nuptials: "What am I going to be like in 20 years? I should certainly look different; my face will be up here. How many more marriages? I don’t know."

*Katie Price: Nothing to Hide*, a four-part Sky Original series, will be available on Sky and streaming service NOW on July 8.
