Katie Price, the former glamour model, turned heads when she showed up bloodied and bruised to film The Princess Diaries. The 48-year-old recently underwent corrective lip surgery in Brussels to remove scar tissue from her lips, a result of migrated lip filler.
Her arrival reportedly left the cast and crew "horrified." A source disclosed that while Princess is accustomed to her mother’s antics, many were taken aback by her condition. The source stated, "The cast and crew were horrified.... Princess is used to her mum's antics but a lot of people were really shocked."
Price's decision to appear in such a state has been interpreted as a desperate bid for attention. A source remarked, "It seemed like an attention-grabbing move to make people talk about her – like she can't bear to be out of the spotlight for one moment."
Despite the shock, a representative for Katie insisted she has been enjoying filming and has developed a positive rapport with the crew. They emphasized her focus on work and commitments.
In a candid moment on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, she revealed she would not be under anaesthetic for the procedure. "I'm doing it awake, not on anaesthetic... going to Brussels because it needs doing," she explained.
Just days after the surgery, Katie shared a selfie from her bed, showcasing her swollen lips post-correction. She reassured followers that she would "trust the process" moving forward.
Addressing fans on Instagram, she acknowledged her appearance: "Hey guys, yes, before you start, I know what I look like. Yesterday, I was in Brussels and I had all the scar tissue taken out of my lips so they're really swollen at the moment." She also promoted her CBD gummies, asserting that her appearance was genuine and not just promotional content.
Shortly after filming, Katie attended the premiere of her Sky Original documentary, Katie Price: Nothing to Hide, in London. Her lips appeared less inflamed than before, with visible scarring beneath her nose. She wore a figure-hugging black frock that showcased her tattoos and completed the look with black platform heels.
Before this public appearance, Katie hinted at more cosmetic work, expressing dissatisfaction with her nose. In one video, she exclaimed, "Oh my God, my nose still looks wonky, but I'm going to have a nose job."
In another clip, she humorously mimicked her lips "quacking," while Princess commented disapprovingly on her mother’s appearance. Katie seemed unfazed by the swelling and bruising, stating, "It is what it is trust the process. I'm still going to eat a burger, though. Have put some makeup on it to cover the bruises up. But quack, quack."
