Lara Trump Ridiculed for Cockpit Footage at Airport Named After Her Father-in-Law
Lara Trump, daughter-in-law of President Donald Trump, faced ridicule after posting cockpit footage of the first landing at the newly renamed President Donald J. Trump International Airport.
The airport, formerly known as Palm Beach International Airport, officially adopted its new name on July 9. Eric Trump celebrated the occasion by taking the inaugural flight into the airport aboard Air Force One, now referred to as Trump Force One.
As the plane touched down, Lara recorded from the cockpit, declaring it "official." However, her followers were not impressed. Many questioned the necessity of having the president's name on everything. This comes after Lara claimed that there are not enough "reasonable" Democrats to save their party from socialists.
One user asked, "Why? Why does his name need to be on everything?" Supporters of Trump responded, asserting that he is striving to make America great again and that everything should bear his name.

Another supporter defended the name change, stating, "because he is the best and everything proves it," while another user challenged the critic, saying, "He sure is NOT getting paid for all the work he is doing for us, with ONLY 4 hours of sleep each night. What do YOU do ??? Hmmmm."
Critics continued to voice their disdain, with one calling it "the weirdest cult ever," and another suggesting it should be named "Grifter In Chief Airport." A third critic exclaimed, "No one cares!!!!!!!! Make groceries affordable."
Conversely, some praised the name change. One supporter stated, "Why his name is on everything? Because he has served this country and has given his life for this country. Congratulations! We are blessed to have this man at the helm of this free world."
Another added, "I’m so proud of everything he’s done for everyone! Well deserved Sir!" A third chimed in, "As it should be! Woot Woot!"

In Lara's video, the pilot of Air Force One announced, "Aircraft effective immediately Palm Beach International Airport is officially President Donald J. Trump International Airport. President Donald J. Trump International Airport. Adis information Hotel now current. Trump Altimeter 3 00 9."
Another voice in the cockpit confirmed, "Here we go. It’s official." Lara captioned her video with, "It’s official!!! PBI > DJT." Eric Trump later told Fox & Friends that he was determined to ensure that UPS would not be the first plane to land at the airport.
He stated, "We touched down at exactly 5:01 a.m. this morning, and it was a beautiful day." Eric emphasized that no one is more synonymous with Palm Beach than Donald Trump.
The airport had been known as Palm Beach International Airport for nearly half a century before the rebranding.

The name change is reportedly tied to Trump's connections to the area, including his frequent use of the airport and proximity to his Mar-a-Lago estate.
Eric Trump also noted that using Trump Force One for this inaugural landing was intentional. He remarked, "This is the plane that carried him to victory... It was the backdrop of so many of the presidential campaign stops." He described the moment as incredibly special for their family.
Reflecting on the significance of the first landing, Eric stated that it represented more than just a name change for the terminal. He expressed pride in his father's accomplishments and dedication to the country.
"He’s fought like hell for all of us and, as a son who worked so hard to make this happen, I couldn’t be more proud," he said. "Today was a really, really special moment."
