She acknowledged the hard work and perseverance that led her to this moment, admitting she never imagined reaching such heights. "I’m really, really grateful to be at this point," she added.

Despite her rapid rise in sports media, Rutledge often reminds herself that she’s living her dream. She continues to refine her skills and seize opportunities that many only dream of.

"It really does feel most days like I’m pinching myself," she remarked. "But I can’t believe I get to experience all of it, no matter the event, no matter what sport it is."

At 37 years old, Rutledge draws motivation from her supporters, who inspire her to excel as a reporter.

"I love the people - that’s really what has kind of kept me going," she explained about the encouragement she’s received throughout her career.

She highlighted the challenges of travel and long hours but emphasized the importance of community and connection in her work. "It’s a big reason why I wanted to do this, you know, aligning with people and anybody that loves to just celebrate being together and celebrate fun times," she said.

The outcome of ESPN's Super Bowl broadcast remains uncertain, as it marks the network's first time airing the game in two decades.

However, the Super Bowl is expected to draw massive audiences, typically exceeding 100 million viewers, solidifying its status as the most-watched sporting event of the year.
