Marjorie Taylor Greene Proposes ‘WILD’ Theory Regarding Trump and Midterm Elections

Former Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) has raised alarms about President Donald Trump possibly trying to interfere with the upcoming midterm elections.

In a response to conservative podcaster Shannon Joy's post on X, Greene echoed fears that Trump might leverage a “national emergency” to cancel the elections altogether.

“Yeah I could see it,” Greene remarked, emphasizing her disbelief with a simple yet powerful, “INSANE.”

Concerns about Trump’s intentions are not new; last year, former Rep. Joe Walsh (R-Ill.) voiced similar apprehensions. “He tried to overthrow an American election four years ago,” Walsh stated during an appearance on MS NOW, previously known as MSNBC. “I have no doubt that he could try to stop the midterm elections.”

Recent reports indicate that a faction of MAGA supporters is working on an executive order aimed at nationalizing elections, a move that critics argue would be outright illegal.

Earlier this year, Trump made headlines when he told Reuters, “we shouldn’t even have an election.”

Typically, the party in power faces losses during midterms, and current polling suggests this trend will continue. With the GOP holding a razor-thin majority in the House, even minor seat flips could hand control to Democrats, potentially stalling Trump’s agenda.

“If we lost the midterms — heaven forbid — if we lost the majority in the House, it would be the end of the Trump presidency in real effect,” House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) warned last week.

Trump’s recent actions may further complicate matters; early polls indicate that his decision to engage militarily with Iran is largely unpopular. This move is also causing fractures within the MAGA base, especially since Trump campaigned on reducing U.S. involvement in foreign conflicts.

Greene was once a staunch ally of Trump, frequently appearing at events alongside him. However, her support waned last year when she joined efforts in Congress to push for the release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender who had ties to Trump.

In response, Trump labeled Greene a “traitor.”

Ultimately, Greene resigned from Congress and expressed regret for her involvement in what she termed “toxic politics.” She also claimed that MAGA “was all a lie,” a sentiment only reinforced by Trump’s recent military actions.

On Saturday, Greene tweeted her disapproval of U.S. military actions, calling it “an utter betrayal of his base,” and added in another message:
