Megyn Kelly Rips Tiger Woods for Calling Trump Post-DUI Arrest

Apr 05 2026

During a recent episode of her YouTube show, Megyn Kelly directed sharp criticism at Tiger Woods for allegedly dialing Donald Trump right after his DUI arrest. “Tiger, which didn’t kick things off on a good note, we now know — thanks to TMZ, which got the body cam from the officer, the footage — he called President Trump,” Kelly remarked, emphasizing the call's timing as Woods exited his vehicle following the accident.

Kelly did not mince words, branding the action as “a douche move.” She elaborated, “It’s very clear he called to try to get out of this somehow… There’s a statement where he later says to the cops… on the scene, ‘He was very apologetic for what he did last night.’” This comment surfaced shortly after Trump had made remarks about Woods during a Fox News segment.

Delving deeper into the implications, Kelly speculated that Trump may have unintentionally disclosed a confidence shared by Woods during that interview regarding the golfer’s future in professional golf. “Keep in mind, he knows Tiger from the golf course — they’re friends — and also Trump’s now former daughter-in-law is dating him. Vanessa Trump, Don Jr.’s ex,” she pointed out, hinting at a more intricate relationship between the two.

Woods, 50, was arrested on March 27 in Florida following a rollover car accident. He faced charges of DUI, property damage, and refusal to submit to a lawful test after declining a urinalysis. Despite pleading not guilty to all charges, Woods did take a breathalyzer test that registered triple zeroes, indicating no alcohol consumption at the time of the incident. However, authorities suspect drug influence.

“Our DUI investigators came to the scene here. Mr. Woods did exemplify signs of impairment,” Sheriff John Budensiek stated during a press conference. The investigation revealed that Woods had two hydrocodone pills in his pocket and displayed lethargy and other concerning symptoms.

Body cam footage released by TMZ captured Woods telling an officer, “I was just talking to the president.” The officer reminded him to stay close as he attempted to walk away for a private conversation.

On March 31, Woods publicly addressed his arrest, announcing plans for treatment. “I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today,” he stated. “I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health.”

He expressed gratitude for support while requesting privacy for himself and his family during this challenging time. Later that day, Trump provided an update on Woods’ condition, stating, “I think he’s doing great, he’s doing good. He tested negative for alcohol… He lives a life of pain.”

The unfolding events surrounding Woods’ arrest and his connection with Trump continue to draw public interest and scrutiny.
