Nancy Mace Slams Trump's Acting Attorney General Over Epstein Remarks: 'Not Impressed'
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) confronted interim Attorney General Todd Blanche regarding his dismissal of any further disclosures related to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
“I was not impressed by some of the comments this week that the DOJ would have no further interest in arresting anyone related to trafficking and the Epstein cases,” Mace stated during an appearance on Fox News Saturday. “That was very disappointing to hear. I want women across the country to know that we care and that we will get to the bottom.”
Blanche, who previously served as Trump’s personal defense attorney, assumed the role of acting attorney general after Pam Bondi's recent ousting. Survivors of Epstein's abuse issued a joint statement criticizing Bondi for her department's inadequate handling of file releases, claiming it resulted in “millions of pages withheld from the public” and highlighted significant redaction errors.
The survivors expressed their readiness to collaborate towards a more rigorous and transparent process, emphasizing the need for accountability regarding past failures.
On Thursday, Blanche, who defended Trump’s ties to Epstein, distanced the DOJ from the Epstein files, asserting that the department has “made every single congressman, senator available to come and see any document redacted, unredacted, that they want.”
“I think that to the extent that the Epstein files were a part of the past year of this Justice Department, it … should not be a part of anything going forward,” he told Fox News’s Jesse Watters, also referencing his involvement in Ghislaine Maxwell’s prison transfer.

Mace pointed out that crucial documents she seeks remain redacted, particularly concerning the identities of co-conspirators.
“Like, why is that information being hidden from the American public?” Mace questioned on Saturday.
