Ohio Monster Dad Exposed Himself While 16 Kids Lived in Squalor
The Ohio father, Gary Siders, Jr., 36, was already on the radar for flashing his neighbors when authorities discovered 16 children living in horrific conditions. Court records reveal he exposed himself at least four times in May, just weeks before the shocking discovery.
Siders displayed his “private parts” on May 23, May 27, May 29, and May 31, according to legal documents. This pattern of perverted behavior culminated in a criminal complaint filed on June 30.
On the same day, law enforcement executed a search warrant that unveiled the appalling squalor in which Siders, his wife Elizabeth Siders, 33, and his parents, Gary Sr., 73, and Christina, 66, allegedly kept the children.
Authorities were blindsided by the presence of the 16 “almost feral” kids when they arrived to arrest Siders. The children, aged from 18 months to 18 years, were reportedly confined to a cramped 12-foot by 12-foot room filled with human waste.
Ohio Attorney General Andy Wilson described the scene as “terrible,” noting that some of the children were unable to speak. “They looked like almost feral animals,” he stated. The educational deficits were staggering; one 18-year-old couldn’t even spell her name.
All four suspects now face multiple charges of child endangerment. Siders married Elizabeth in 2008 when he was just 18 and had only completed ninth grade; she was only 15 at the time. Their first child was born just two months after their marriage.
The grim tally of children found includes those aged 16, 15, 14, 13, 11, 10, 8, 6, and 5, along with sets of twins aged four, two, and one. Seven of these children required hospitalization in the Columbus area, with two sent to trauma centers. One child was reported in critical condition.
Each suspect faces up to 16 counts of child endangerment and $300,000 bonds. If convicted, they could be sentenced to a staggering maximum of 192 years behind bars.
It remains unclear if Siders and Elizabeth are the biological parents of all 16 children; however, Elizabeth’s lawyer asserts she is the mother of all of them. Siders is scheduled to appear in court on July 23 for his public indecency charges.
