Scotland Fan Scores Love in Boston Thanks to Ex's TikTok Intervention
A chance meeting at Fenway Park turned into a romantic whirlwind for a Scotland fan after a viral TikTok saved the day. Tommy Morrison, 38, and Jillian Roberts, 42, crossed paths during Scotland's World Cup festivities on June 16.
Their connection almost fizzled out when they forgot to exchange numbers, but fate intervened. Jillian posted a TikTok of their encounter, which caught the attention of Tommy's ex-girlfriend, who commented about his character.

Jillian attended the Red Sox game against the Toronto Blue Jays for Pride Night, unaware that thousands of Scottish football fans were also flooding the stadium. She was there with friends, completely oblivious to the Tartan Army's presence.
After meeting Tommy while walking to her car, Jillian felt an instant connection. She recorded their interaction without any expectations. However, once he left, she regretted not getting his number.
Destiny took a turn when Tommy's ex saw Jillian's TikTok and reached out. Jillian asked for Tommy's number through her, leading to constant messaging on WhatsApp.

Tommy, a joiner from Bonnyrigg, never expected their encounter to lead to romance. He recalled their conversation at the baseball game, where he charmed her with his Scottish wit.
After Scotland's defeat in Foxborough, Tommy splurged on a taxi ride to see Jillian. He later discovered that her invitation for their friends to meet was just a ruse to spend time with him.

Tommy made a £100 Uber trip from Gillette Stadium to attend one of Jillian's gigs after the Scotland vs. Morocco match. They spent quality time together before he headed to Miami.
Despite Scotland's disappointing World Cup performance, Tommy's luck changed. He returned to Boston after the Brazil game to see Jillian again.
Their first official date turned into an unexpected celebrity moment as fans recognized them from the viral TikTok. They enjoyed sightseeing near the aquarium and were met with friendly locals curious about their story.

Jillian never anticipated finding love during Scotland's World Cup run. She admitted that the event wasn't even on her radar as a sports fan.
Traffic was a major concern for her until the Scottish fans arrived, bringing a sense of carefree joy that resonated with both cultures.

Now officially a couple, they navigate a long-distance relationship filled with FaceTime calls. Jillian has already booked a flight to visit Tommy in Scotland at the end of August.
Tommy returned home on June 30 to find that Jillian had quickly arranged their next meeting. He joked about her perception of Scotland, planning a special surprise for her visit.
“We have an ongoing joke that she thinks everyone in Scotland lives in castles and wears kilts every day,” he said.
