Shocking Twist: Paul Hogan's Son Escapes Domestic Battery Charges

Jul 15 2026

Chance Hogan, son of "Crocodile Dundee" star Paul Hogan, will not face charges for his domestic violence arrest, a stunning development following his May arrest at his father's residence.

Authorities responded to a domestic disturbance call at Paul Hogan's Venice home around 10:30 a.m. on May 1. Officers arrived to find Paul and an unidentified woman conversing outside while Chance had already fled the scene.

Chance was later located and arrested, booked on misdemeanor domestic battery with bail set at $20,000. The Los Angeles City Attorney's Office has since reviewed the case and decided to drop all charges against him.

Despite the dismissal of charges, Chance's troubling behavior raises alarms. He previously posted a disturbing message on his private Instagram account, drunkenly pleading for someone to "please kill me" while consuming wine and watching television.

"This is my life, this is what it's been reduced to. Please. Please kill me. I’m begging you," he expressed in that post.

In addition to his erratic social media activity, Chance is the lead singer of the punk rock band Rowdy P. He shared a provocative image on the band's Instagram, posing shirtless in front of a large fire.

Paul Hogan, at 85 years old, is widely recognized for his roles in the "Crocodile Dundee" trilogy and "Almost an Angel." He has five children from his first marriage and one child, Chance, from his second marriage.

Chance's arrest and subsequent charge dismissal highlight a troubling pattern of behavior that continues to unfold.
