Stephen Miller's Trump Triumphs Face Harsh Online Backlash
During a segment on Laura Ingraham's Fox News show, Stephen Miller extolled Donald Trump's management of the Iran conflict, igniting both mockery and outrage.
The former White House deputy chief of staff for policy asserted that the U.S. had met its objectives “even faster than anybody thought possible,” despite mounting concerns over the absence of a clear strategy, escalating oil prices, and the administration's inconsistent justifications.
“President Trump was aware of and has calculated through every permutation and every degree of strategy,” Miller proclaimed, labeling it “by far the most overwhelming victory based on the objectives.”
However, critics quickly countered on social media, highlighting Trump's own admission of surprise regarding Iran's retaliatory actions against other Middle Eastern nations. They pointed out his difficulties in securing the crucial Strait of Hormuz, a key shipping route for oil.
Representative Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) remarked on Trump's astonishment at Iran's responses, stating, “Trump officials routinely disrespect and look down on Fox viewers and Fox hosts. Trump officials routinely and blatantly lie to Fox viewers and Fox hosts.”
Former Representative Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) added a sarcastic note, quipping, “He’s a genius of course.”
Responses continued to pour in, with many echoing similar sentiments about the disconnect between Miller's claims and the reality of the situation.
