The actress, known for her role in "Anyone But You," shared an Instagram post featuring a Deadline article announcing her new venture.

“sticking around @honeytrap 😉,” she wrote in the caption.

Honey Trap secured a first-look deal with Sony Pictures. Kaylee McGregor, a long-time collaborator of Sweeney, will serve as president of production and development at the company.

Sweeney is already in talks with Sony for the TriStar Pictures remake of "Barbarella," based on Jean-Claude Forest's French comic series that inspired the 1968 film starring Jane Fonda.

Additionally, she is set to produce and star in "The Registration," a psychological thriller adapted from Madison Lawson's novel.

This announcement came just a day after the Season 3 finale of "Euphoria" aired on HBO Max.

In this final season, Sweeney portrayed Cassie Howard, an OnlyFans model who filmed explicit scenes.

Her character faced backlash, particularly for dressing as a baby, but "Euphoria" creator Sam Levinson defended the storyline.

Levinson stated, “What we wanted to always find is the other layer of absurdity that we’re able to tie into it so that we’re not too inside of her fantasy or illusion — the gag is to jump out, to break the wall,” in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter.

In June, Levinson revealed that Sweeney rejected his suggestion to film her scenes without nudity.
