Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott Celebrate Daughter's Graduation Amidst Tax Debts and Divorce Fallout
Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott reunited for their daughter Stella's high school graduation, a mere seven months after their divorce was finalized. The event unfolded in Southern California, where the former couple was seen together, putting aside their tumultuous split for the sake of their child.

Stella McDermott, 18, donned a royal blue graduation cap and a white flower lei, marking her achievement with pride. The outdoor ceremony showcased her parents in attendance, with Spelling wearing a white and cream boho sundress while McDermott opted for a simple white t-shirt and brown slacks.

McDermott was actively engaged, snapping photos of Stella during the commencement exercises and cheering her on. The two appeared to be amicable, chatting as they sat side by side, a stark contrast to the chaos surrounding their recent divorce.

Stella received her diploma after four years of high school, posing for pictures with both parents on the football field. In one moment captured, Spelling was seen carrying her daughter's blue graduation cap as they exited the event together.

The family left the ceremony side by side, a visual representation of co-parenting despite their fractured relationship. This reunion comes almost exactly three years after the couple announced their split following 18 years of marriage and five children.

McDermott expressed his sorrow over the separation in a now-deleted post, stating, “It’s with great sadness and a very very heavy heart that after 18 years together and 5 amazing children, that @torispelling and I have decided to go our separate ways.”

In March 2024, Spelling officially filed for divorce from McDermott. The final judgment revealed that the couple owes at least $1.7 million in unpaid state and federal taxes, adding financial strain to their already complicated situation.

Despite the divorce proceedings, Spelling reflected on their co-parenting dynamic in December, describing it as more “loving.” She acknowledged the challenges faced by other families during similar situations but expressed gratitude for maintaining a friendly relationship with her ex-husband.

Spelling noted that while many anticipated a messy divorce, it turned out to be “super easy and loving.”

The couple shares five children: Liam, 19; Hattie, 14; Finn, 13; Beau, 9; and Stella. Their public reunion at this milestone event highlights the complexities of family dynamics post-divorce.
