Trans Activist's Bizarre Debate Performance Sparks Outrage as Maine Senate Race Heats Up
A trans intersex activist, Ashley Webb, has exploded onto the scene with a jaw-dropping debate performance that left viewers stunned. Webb is attempting to fill the void left by Graham Platner, who was ousted from the Maine Senate race after facing serious allegations of rape from an ex-girlfriend.

During a recent debate, Webb delivered a disjointed answer when asked about their qualifications for the Senate. “I ran for office several times. Didn’t win, but I did run,” Webb chuckled, showcasing a lack of substantial experience.
Webb continued, “And then I’m a songwriter, and then I write my own books, and then I suppose my transparency.” The activist claimed they would not deceive the public, contrasting their approach with what they described as “smoke and mirrors” currently in politics.
Webb’s comments took a sharp turn as they criticized ICE, stating, “Pretending like these victims did something wrong. Like it’s unacceptable.” Dressed in a black and pink flowered dress paired with white and pink sneakers, Webb declared, “I’m just an angry citizen right now, and if I get elected, I’d be an angry senator.”

“And I think that would probably be their worst nightmare,” Webb added, further emphasizing their unconventional stance.
The clip of this cringe-worthy moment has amassed over 750,000 views on X, with numbers continuing to climb.
Platner’s campaign imploded earlier this month amid the rape allegations, leaving the Democratic Party in disarray. He has denied the accusations vehemently.
Currently, there are 12 candidates vying for the nomination to challenge incumbent GOP Senator Susan Collins in the upcoming November election. This includes notable figures such as Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows and Dan Kleban, founder of the Maine Beer Company.
Observers have noted that while Platner sought an outsider candidate, Webb’s approach may be too far removed from traditional expectations. Conservative commentator Dave Rubin reacted on X, questioning Webb’s seriousness during the debate.
Another user likened Webb’s performance to a scene from the cult classic film Napoleon Dynamite, while others expressed disbelief at the responses given during the debate.
In a voter-guide questionnaire, Webb stated their motivation for running: “This nomination process began because Mainers organized, showed up, and demanded a candidate who would actually fight for them. I intend to build directly on that energy, not replace it.”
