Trump Amplifies Loomer’s Claims, Labels Michelle Obama ‘Anti-White Racist’
President Trump took to Truth Social on Saturday, amplifying a post from far-right activist Laura Loomer that branded Michelle Obama as an “anti-white racist.” This move comes as he gears up for a contentious State of the Union address, where he is expected to confront Democratic lawmakers.
In his repost, Trump didn’t hold back, also directing his ire at former White House adviser Susan Rice. He threatened Netflix, where Rice serves on the executive board, stating: “Netflix should fire racist, Trump Deranged Susan Rice, IMMEDIATELY, or pay the consequences.”
Loomer’s original message was more extensive, urging Trump to block a merger between Warner Bros. and Netflix. She expressed concern that such a deal would enhance the Obamas' influence in the entertainment industry. The couple’s production company, Higher Ground Productions, has been producing content for Netflix.
“The positive messaging of the Democrats' upcoming witch hunts against Trump from Barack Hussein Obama ... and his anti-White racist wife Michelle ... would likely be blasted across all streaming services as the Obamas' Higher Ground Productions continues to grow within Netflix,” Loomer asserted.

This exchange followed Rice's warning that corporations perceived as aligning with the Trump administration could face repercussions if Democrats regain control of Congress in the upcoming midterm elections and the presidency in 2028. She made these remarks during a podcast hosted by Preet Bharara, a former U.S. attorney dismissed by Trump.
Rice stated, “If these corporations think that the Democrats, when they come back in power, are going to, you know, play by the old rules... I think they’ve got another thing coming.”
Trump’s endorsement of Loomer’s characterization of Michelle Obama as “racist” comes amid ongoing fallout from a scandal involving a bizarre AI-generated video he shared earlier this month. The video depicted the former president and first lady in a derogatory manner, leading to widespread condemnation from both political parties.
Republicans expressed discomfort with the video, labeling it a mistake. Senator Tim Scott, the Senate's only Black Republican, described it as racist. In response to the backlash, Trump claimed that a staffer had posted the video without fully reviewing it.

“I gave it to the people; generally they’d look at the whole thing but I guess somebody didn’t and they posted it. And then we deleted it,” Trump explained during a statement on Air Force One.
This isn’t the first instance of Trump drawing from Loomer’s rhetoric. Following his return to the White House in 2025, she gained access to the Oval Office and reportedly influenced a purge of officials deemed disloyal to Trump.
Loomer has also advocated for loyalty-driven dismissals across various government sectors. Notably, Maurene Comey, daughter of former FBI Director James Comey, was removed from her position at the Department of Justice in July.
Despite her aggressive attacks on Democrats, Loomer has faced accusations of racism herself. In 2025, she was condemned for using a racial slur against Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett, calling her a “ghetto Black B****.”
