Trump's Bizarre Plane Obsession Infuriates C-SPAN Viewers
President Donald Trump, at 79, left C-SPAN viewers seething with his erratic remarks during an interview, showcasing a staggering lack of focus.
While addressing reporters in New York City after attending an NBA game, Trump was heavily booed by the crowd. He stood near a plane, seemingly captivated by its appearance rather than engaging with the questions posed to him.

He began discussing the plane, saying, "You know it’s a little bit, just sitting here and talking, or standing here and talking to you. We have a lot of respect for a lot of the people before me, I know some of you very well." Then he abruptly shifted gears.
Trump fixated on the aircraft, exclaiming, "But take a look at that plane. See that plane? It’s in perfect mint condition. Take a look at that, isn’t that amazing? Everything should look that way. We work with the military; we do a real job. Look at the polish. Everything is beautiful. That’s the way we want DC. Some people would laugh or smile at it, but there’s nothing to smile at. So DC has become really safe and really, really beautiful."
Viewers reacted with disbelief as one user on X remarked, "Omg, he literally just got distracted by a shiny object."

Another user drew parallels to military experiences, stating, "Reminds me of my first years in the military, when Reagan had just been elected but before the effects of his policies and appointments began taking hold: They wanted us constantly repainting the outside of things while we couldn’t procure parts and components to go inside them."
A different commentator noted, "It’s ALL about the ‘Look’, isn’t it? That is truly all he cares about. How he ‘looks’, how things he does ‘look’..... It’s like a child showing you the picture they just drew. 'Look, mommy, it’s beautiful, don’t you think?'

One more user quipped, "Trump staring at a plane like it’s a metaphor for America. Shiny jet, big dreams. But honestly, can you actually polish a whole city the same way you polish an aircraft?"
Another viewer slammed his comments as "utter nonsense," criticizing him for wasting money and creating inconvenience for New Yorkers while being loudly booed.
A final comment read, "Deflection, deflection, deflection. He has nothing to say after being booed past the 7 seas. Yet here we go again, talking about some material bull to cover up how embarrassed he just was. I’m loving it because they can’t create a narrative rn, just embarrassing!"
