Footage of a man resembling Donald Trump lurking behind him on the tarmac has ignited a social media storm, with Jon Stewart leading the charge. The Daily Show host aired the clip of Trump at Joint Base Andrews, where an uncanny lookalike trailed closely behind, prompting Stewart to quip about a “back-up copy.”
The video quickly went viral, drawing wild comparisons to conspiracy theories about political doubles. An Eastern European news outlet shared the segment, questioning, “If Putin supposedly has a ‘banquet double,’ why can’t Trump have a backup?”

As the clip spread like wildfire, it racked up over 69,000 views. Social media users scrambled to determine if they were witnessing a secret clone of the former president.
One user joked about the resemblance, saying, “Father-in-law looks just like him so who else thought that was a secret clone at first glance?” Another chimed in, “Both sure look alike.”
However, sharp-eyed viewers quickly dismantled the body-double theory. One internet sleuth pointed out the obvious detail: “Oh, of course that wasn’t a second Trump. Trump wears a red tie, whereas that one had a blue one—it’s obvious…”

The mystery deepened until it was revealed that the silver-haired gentleman was actually Melania Trump’s 84-year-old father, Viktor Knavs. Strikingly, Knavs is only four years older than his son-in-law.
This revelation sparked amusement online as users noted the striking family resemblance. Comments flooded in, with one person stating, “Ah, no wonder Melania married Trump,” while another added, “HAHAHAHAHA, Melania practically married her own dad.”
Psychologists explain this phenomenon through positive sexual imprinting, where individuals often unconsciously select partners who mirror traits of their opposite-sex parent.
