Trump's Health Under Fire: Dementia Claims and Disturbing Remarks Emerge
Donald Trump’s mental fitness is under scrutiny as Illinois Governor JB Pritzker openly questions the president's cognitive health, suggesting he may be suffering from dementia.
Pritzker, who has held the governor's office since 2013, made his remarks during an interview with CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins. When asked directly if he believes Trump has dementia, Pritzker responded, “I do.” He pointed to videos from 2015 and 2016, contrasting them with Trump's current public appearances, stating, “I really think that there’s something genuinely wrong with him.”

Concerns about Trump’s health have intensified recently, particularly after he was seen with a noticeably swollen face. Pritzker, while not a medical professional, expressed alarm over Trump’s speech patterns, noting that his sentences often lack coherence.
These comments came on the heels of a bizarre joke Trump made during a speech at the opening of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library. He referenced the unique achievement of Theodore Roosevelt and his son receiving the Congressional Medal of Honor, then quipped about giving medals to himself and his sons, saying, “we’ll have a threesome, ok.”
Trump continued with another odd statement, claiming he would award one of his sons a medal for their “genius at hunting” and take credit for “taking on Russia, Russia, Russia.”

Mary Trump, the president's niece and a psychologist, has also voiced concerns about his deteriorating condition. In her newsletter dated June 23, she described her uncle's health as “decaying” and suggested he is in a “downward spiral.”
She characterized his behavior as erratic, citing late-night social media posts and issues surrounding the faltering Iran peace deal. Mary Trump stated, “He may still have moments when he appears more coherent, but psychologically he’s in a downward spiral.”
Despite these alarming assessments, the White House has pushed back against claims regarding Trump’s declining health. Following a physical examination at Walter Reed Medical Centre, he was declared “fully fit” to serve. Spokesman Steven Cheung dismissed Mary Trump’s claims as unfounded.
