Trump's Military Operation Name Sparks Outrage Across Social Media
Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth are facing backlash as social media users express their disdain for the name of the current U.S. military operation targeting Iran.
Dubbed “Operation Epic Fury,” the title has drawn widespread ridicule online, with many labeling it as “stupid” and “childish.” Critics have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to voice their opinions, suggesting that the name sounds like something a child might concoct.
In a significant escalation, U.S. forces executed major combat strikes against Iran on Saturday, resulting in the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei along with numerous high-ranking officials, according to military sources.
Trump announced that nine Iranian warships have been destroyed in the operation, marking a substantial blow to Iran's naval capabilities.
However, the conflict has not come without cost; three U.S. service members have lost their lives, and five others have sustained serious injuries during the operations.
Looking ahead, Trump has suggested that military actions could persist for an extended period, potentially lasting up to a month as tensions continue to escalate in the region.
