Trump’s Mind Melts: “Affordability” Is a “Fake Word” and “Dumb” Has a “B”

Jul 16 2026

President Donald Trump just dropped a jaw-dropping verbal bombshell, declaring “affordability” a “fake word” while simultaneously insisting that “most people” don’t realize the word “dumb” contains a “b.”

At a Pennsylvania event, Trump claimed he first encountered the term “affordability” on his second day in office. This is rich, considering the word has been around since 1910, with its usage skyrocketing since the 1950s and 60s.

Trump’s own promises to lower prices have only fueled the frequent mention of “affordability.” Instead of delivering on that vow, prices have surged, particularly after his February war with Iran sent oil prices soaring, triggering a ripple effect across the economy.

Despite a recent inflation report offering a glimmer of hope for Trump, escalating tensions and new strikes on Iran have sent oil prices back up, threatening to reignite inflationary pressures.

His repeated jab at “Dumocrats” has become a staple in his speeches, where he insists that “most people don’t know” about the spelling of “dumb.”

In reality, the majority of people are well aware of how to spell “dumb.”

Critics wasted no time taking to X to mock Trump’s rambling comments.
