Trump's NATO Summit Stunt: Health Fears as He Snoozes and Stumbles
Donald Trump triggered health alarms as he appeared lost and dozed off during the NATO summit.
At the summit in Turkey, Trump exhibited troubling behavior, caught on camera by news outlets. Upon arrival, Turkey's leader, Recep Erdogan, welcomed him, but Trump seemed to drift away, unsure of where he was supposed to be, despite a microphone set up for their joint address.
Erdogan had to grasp Trump's hand to guide him back to the right spot. Later that day, Trump appeared to fall asleep during a press briefing while facing Erdogan.

After about 40 seconds of dozing, he suddenly jolted awake while Erdogan continued speaking. These moments circulated on social media, with users branding them as "embarrassing." Critics have also noted visible bruising on Trump's hand.
One critic remarked, "Aww, look! Grandpa has fallen fast asleep again. This time in front of the delegation from Turkey. Sleepy Don is a major embarrassment. How do you keep letting him out on his own like this?"
Another user expressed outrage: "For the umpteenth time he’s asleep at the wheel in the presence of foreign dignitaries. What a goddamn embarrassment this dilapidated old f--- is."
A third commenter added, "Dopey Donald can’t keep his eyes open half the time these days. Falling asleep in front of other world leaders like a tired old dog. Embarrassing."

A fourth user stated, "What a complete embarrassment of Donald Trump! Here’s Russian News covering how the Turkish president had to guide Donald Trump around like a dementia patient. Trump is a laughingstock on the world stage."
A fifth user questioned, "What happened to not being an embarrassment..."
Meanwhile, a sixth user quipped, "I always wonder why people correct him instead of just letting him wander off...that’d be funny."

These incidents follow closely after Trump appeared to doze off during the 4th of July celebrations, which sparked significant online backlash.
During those celebrations marking America's 250th anniversary, storms forced a two-hour evacuation of the National Mall in Washington, DC, disrupting festivities across several US cities.
Prominent Democrat Harry Sissons accused Trump of "falling asleep" during the fireworks display in DC. He stated, "Trump seemed to be falling asleep during the fireworks in DC for America’s 250th. Incredibly embarrassing and concerning."
Journalist Aaron Rupar mocked Trump’s behavior, saying: "Trump 'blinks' during the fireworks show in DC."
