Zendaya is ready to ditch the spotlight, craving a break after a relentless year of fame and film. The former Disney Channel star has been thrust into the public eye, juggling multiple high-profile projects.
In the past 12 months, she filmed five movies, including a role in Christopher Nolan's blockbuster The Odyssey. Amidst this chaos, she secretly tied the knot with Tom Holland, putting an end to years of speculation.

Now, the Dune star is vocal about her need to step back and recharge. With several films set to release soon, she feels the pressure mounting.
During a red carpet interview for her latest project, Zendaya expressed her desire to "disappear for a little bit." After promoting Holland's movie Spider Man: Brand New Day, she shared her plans for some well-deserved downtime.
In a candid chat with Entertainment Tonight's Emily Curl, Zendaya quipped, "Oh girl, nothing. Just mind my business, you know? And stay to myself." She described the whirlwind of her career as exhilarating yet overwhelming.

"This is such a whirlwind, and you’re kind of like in a new place every second," she said. "It’s fun and I’m grateful, and I wouldn’t change a thing, but sometimes you need to just, you know, disappear for a little bit."
Zendaya also recounted the moment her husband revealed she landed a role in The Odyssey. Speaking with Jimmy Fallon, she initially celebrated Tom's casting as Telemachus before discovering her own fate.
Tom had multiple meetings with director Christopher Nolan, whom Zendaya considers a major inspiration. When she found a script in her home, curiosity got the better of her.

"So [Tom] had another meeting and he had the script, I may have done a little, you know, peeky peek. I gotta know, there’s a Christopher Nolan script in my house," she admitted.
Trying to keep her excitement in check, Zendaya was shocked when Tom told her she had secured the role. "He goes, 'Read this again,' and I was like 'Why? We just read it last night?'" she recalled. "And he’s like 'Read it again, but with Athena in mind.'"
Her reaction was pure disbelief. "I was like, 'Yo, stop it right now.' And I was just like, yeah I freaked out. I was so grateful that he got to be the one to tell me. It was so special."
