Allie Eklund Ditches Toxic Relationship to Protect Future Kids from Steven McBee Jr. Drama
Allie Eklund is done with the drama of her past relationship with Steven McBee Jr., and she’s not holding back. She’s made it clear that her future children will never witness the chaos she endured behind closed doors.
“When I think about my future kids, that is what keeps me going,” Eklund stated, promoting her business, Triple E Mercantile, which draws inspiration from her family’s Texas Hill Country ranch.
She flatly declared, “There’s nothing I miss about that relationship or look back and want again... I refuse to put my kids through some of the experiences that I was experiencing behind closed doors.” Eklund emphasized that she had endured private struggles while trying to protect McBee Jr.
Reflecting on their relationship, she said, “After this has been brought to light... some of the bad did outweigh the good — in no world would I want my kids to experience some of the things that I did.”
McBee Jr. has not responded to requests for comment regarding their split, which is currently unfolding in season 3 of their reality show. The couple ended their relationship in April after McBee Jr. accused Eklund of infidelity following her attendance at Stagecoach. Eklund denied the cheating allegations, and McBee Jr. later apologized, admitting he would seek therapy.

Eklund described the situation as “interesting,” noting it was McBee Jr.’s choice to air their dirty laundry online with his public accusations. “If it would have been up to me, I would have protected him,” she said, revealing that she had previously shielded him from various issues during their time together.
She continued, “He had said things to me and treated me a certain way, and I continued to protect him. So when he chose to bring this last fight to the internet... the vulnerability that came from that experience has ended up leading me to a connection with women around the world that I couldn’t have imagined.”
Eklund has found strength in sharing her story, as fans have reached out to her with similar experiences. She expressed gratitude for the impact her journey has had on others, stating it has given them the courage to leave unhealthy relationships.
“There’s only so much that we can do, and we can love someone from afar,” she explained. “But when it continues to happen over and over again, it’s a pattern. And I would encourage women to walk away from similar behavior.”
The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys airs on Bravo Mondays at 9 p.m. ET.
