Andy Reid Teases Wedding Invite to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce — Tux Ready!
Andy Reid just dropped a tantalizing hint that he’s on the guest list for the wedding of the year—Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. The Kansas City Chiefs coach, 68, made waves during his Thursday appearance on 96.5’s The Drive show when asked about the nuptials.
“Well, I probably have… and if I don’t outgrow my tuxedo before then, I’m going,” Reid quipped, throwing in a cheeky nod to his love for barbecue. “But you keep talking about this barbecue, I might have to go get some.”
Host Carrington Harrison chimed in, suggesting Reid should snag a fresh suit for the big day. “I’m not the show,” Reid shot back. “I’m just gonna show up. I’m so happy for them. When it comes down to it, it doesn’t matter how big the show is around them; they’re in love, and that’s what counts.”
Swift and Kelce, both 36, made headlines when they announced their engagement in August 2025 with a playful Instagram post: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”

But don’t expect a rushed wedding planning process. Swift hinted she’s focused on her music first. “I’m just doing the album thing now, which is a big thing. Then, I think the wedding is what happens after that in the scheme of the planning,” she said during an October 2025 appearance on The Graham Norton Show. “But I’m so excited about it. I know it’s gonna be fun to plan because I think the only stressful weddings are the ones where you have a small amount and people are on the bubble.”
Kelce added his own twist, joking that their wedding date hinges on the Chiefs’ schedule for the 2026-2027 NFL season. “I just gotta figure out winning football games first,” he laughed during a September 2025 episode of his “New Heights” podcast.
Rumors swirl that the couple plans to tie the knot this summer, with sources revealing they’ve invited around 150 guests. “It won’t be a huge wedding, but there will be many celebrities,” an insider disclosed in an April Us Weekly cover story. Another source noted, “They’ve gone back and forth between inviting everyone and keeping it small and private. As of now, they’ve scaled it down. It’s no longer going to be a massive blowout.”
Earlier this month, Kelce couldn’t contain his excitement while chatting with Rory McIlroy about the upcoming celebration. “Travis, you’ll feel this this year whenever you’re sitting at your wedding—you have all the people in a room… it’s amazing to have all these people in the same room,” McIlroy compared to the Masters dinner. “You’re just sitting there and it’s surreal. It’s unbelievable. The only thing I can compare it to is your wedding day because it’s this collection of people in the same room. It’s wild.”
“I can’t wait,” Kelce gushed, clearly counting down the days until he says “I do.”
