Anthony Scaramucci Obliterates Trump's MAGA Base with Brutal Truth

Mar 25 2026

In a pointed exchange this week, Anthony Scaramucci, a former communications director for Donald Trump, redirected one of the president's favorite jabs back at him and his staunch MAGA followers.

The phrase “Trump derangement syndrome,” often wielded by Trump to dismiss dissenters, became the focal point of Scaramucci's critique.

During a segment with journalist Don Lemon, Scaramucci reacted to a clip featuring veteran Democratic strategist James Carville, who had recently embraced the term while launching personal attacks on Trump.

“You’re right, I’ve got Trump derangement syndrome,” Carville boldly stated. “I hate the motherfucker.”

Scaramucci, known for his brief tenure in the Trump administration, defended Carville’s approach, asserting that such insults effectively rattle the president.

“I don’t think James Carville has Trump derangement syndrome,” he asserted. “I think James Carville has Trump reality syndrome.”

Then, in a striking reversal, he turned the term against Trump’s most devoted supporters.

“The people that have Trump derangement syndrome are the ones that are with him still,” Scaramucci declared. “Those are the people that are deranged. Those are the people that have lost touch with reality in terms of how much damage he and his cronies are causing the country and the world.”
