Bank Manager Jailed for Rape and Forcing Wife to Service 500 Men

A bank manager, Guillaume Bucci, 51, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for a grotesque seven-year reign of terror over his girlfriend, Laetitia R., 42. He forced her into sexual servitude with nearly 500 men, subjecting her to unimaginable abuse.

Bucci's twisted campaign included rape, torture, and severe psychological manipulation. Laetitia endured drinking his urine, licking public toilets, and was allowed only one full night of sleep every ten days. The court proceedings in Digne-les-Bains revealed the depths of his depravity.

Laetitia's courage to testify stemmed from the influence of Gisèle Pelicot, who also bravely waived her anonymity after her husband was convicted for drugging and sexually assaulting her. Laetitia's ordeal spanned from 2015 to 2022, filled with degrading acts that left her psychologically scarred.

During their relationship, Bucci used belts, cutting boards, electrical cables, and strangulation as tools of torture. He coerced Laetitia into prostitution, forcing her to keep a record of clients. On the day she was discharged from the hospital after giving birth in 2017, he made her perform a sex act on a truck driver.

In court, Laetitia broke down, stating, "I stopped counting at 487. Some of whom I had seen up to 10 times. Little by little, I felt like I was dying inside." Her testimony painted a harrowing picture of psychological control masked as sadomasochistic games.

Laetitia described the relentless abuse: "With each practice imposed, there was a part of me that broke permanently. I didn’t know how to get out of it." Unlike Pelicot, who was drugged during her abuse, Laetitia was kept fully conscious to endure the torment. "He said I needed to realize what was happening to me. I remember everything," she recounted.

Bucci attempted to defend his actions as consensual sado-masochism but acknowledged committing acts of torture like strangulation and burning. However, overwhelming evidence in the form of hundreds of threatening messages proved otherwise, showing Laetitia acted under duress.

The court's decision mandated Bucci serve at least two-thirds of his sentence before being eligible for parole. Prosecutors had sought a life sentence due to the risk he posed to other women.

This case follows closely on the heels of Pelicot's conviction for drugging and sexually assaulting his wife over nine years, during which numerous men he solicited online raped her.
