Bill Maher Obliterates Trump’s Festival Fiasco as Artists Flee in Droves

Bill Maher unleashed a brutal takedown of Donald Trump’s Freedom 250 festival, which is crumbling under the weight of artist cancellations.

The Great American State Fair, touted as a 16-day extravaganza in Washington D.C., is now a ghost town of performers. Major acts like Martina McBride, The Commodores, and Morris Day have all pulled out, leaving the event in chaos.

On his HBO show, Maher, 70, didn’t hold back. He mocked the festival’s lineup, which included Vanilla Ice and Milli Vanilli, saying, “It shows that he’s concerned for the unemployed.”

He continued to shred the event, stating, “After they announced this all-star lineup, a lot of them said, ‘No, what are you talking about? We’re not playing.’ That’s got to hurt a lot when you can’t close the deal with Milli Vanilli.”

Maher also took a jab at Trump’s face being featured on a $250 bill. “Republicans in Congress are thrilled about it. They can’t wait to carry it in their wallet,” he quipped.

Freedom 250 spiraled into disarray just hours after announcing its lineup. The only remaining confirmed acts are Flo Rida, Vanilla Ice, and Milli Vanilli frontman Fabrice Morvan.

Morris Day and The Time were the first to bail, with Day simply stating on Instagram, “It’s a no for me.” Young MC followed suit, citing the political backing as his reason for withdrawal.

Young MC expressed his discontent, saying, “The artists were never told about any political involvement with the event. Despite claims by the organizers that the event is non-partisan, Spin magazine describes it as ‘Trump-backed.’”

The Commodores echoed similar sentiments, declaring, “Our music has always been our voice and we chose not to publicly affiliate with any single political party.”

Martina McBride revealed she felt misled about the festival's intentions. She stated, “I was presented with an opportunity to perform at a nonpartisan event but that turned out to be misleading.”

McBride elaborated, “I’ve spent my entire career singing songs about real people with real issues.”

She reassured her fans, “I appreciate every single fan who has reached out. I hope to get back to the DC area very soon.”

Bret Michaels cited safety concerns for his exit. He stated, “What was presented to us as a celebration of our country has evolved into something much more divisive than what I agreed to be a part of.”

Michaels added that threats against him and his team were “completely unfounded and unforgivable.”
