Caitlyn Jenner Faces Backlash After Requesting Trump’s Help with Passport Gender Issue

Caitlyn Jenner, a celebrated Olympic gold medalist and vocal supporter of Donald Trump, is encountering backlash after revealing her struggles with the president’s anti-trans executive order. Earlier this month, she expressed her frustrations during an appearance on “Tomi Lahren is Fearless,” detailing her attempts to reach out to Trump for assistance.

“I don’t blame President Trump. I love him, but for a lot of people, this is a huge issue, you know, and so that’s kind of where I’m at right now,” Jenner stated. She mentioned writing a letter to Trump while visiting Mar-a-Lago two months ago, explaining how the executive order affects her and many others.

Despite her outreach, Jenner has yet to receive a response. “He’s kind of busy right now. My gender marker is not big on the issue. OK,” she added, emphasizing her understanding of the situation while expressing her desire for resolution. “I love the guy and I love what he’s doing, but I’m trying to figure out now, what is the next step to try to figure this out?”

Jenner's request comes in the wake of an executive order signed by Trump on his first day back in office, which mandated that the U.S. Department of State and the Department of Homeland Security issue passports and visas only with male or female indicators.

After recently renewing her passport, Jenner discovered that the “gender marker, M, screws everything up.” She attempted to rectify the issue independently but found it unchangeable. “This is a safety factor,” she asserted, explaining that her current identification prevents her from traveling internationally and even voting.

Following Jenner’s interview, social media erupted with criticism directed at the reality star for voicing her concerns. Many users referenced the phrase, “I never thought leopards would eat MY face,” a common retort aimed at MAGA supporters facing consequences from Trump’s policies.

“Boo-hoo. Cry me a fucking river,” remarked Ana Navarro, co-host of “The View,” in an Instagram post aimed at Jenner. Another user on X pointedly noted, “didn’t she literally vote for him,” while others echoed sentiments about her perceived hypocrisy regarding her support for Trump’s administration.

As discussions continue online, Jenner's situation highlights the complexities faced by individuals navigating identity within the framework of political allegiance and policy impact.
