Candace Owens Revels in Erika Kirk's Heckling at Turning Point USA Event

Jun 07 2026

Candace Owens wasted no time mocking Erika Kirk after a heckler targeted her during a Turning Point USA event.

Erika Kirk, the widow of the former TPUSA head, faced a disruptive heckler while headlining a Women’s Leadership Summit. The heckler accused her of “protecting pedophiles,” prompting Owens to jump on social media to gloat.

Erika, who took over leadership of the organization following the assassination of her husband, Charlie Kirk, in September 2025, was interrupted about 11 minutes into her 17-minute speech.

The heckler repeatedly shouted the accusation, “Erika Kirk protects pedophiles.” Despite the interruption, Erika laughed and received applause from attendees who supported her.

Owens expressed delight over the incident, announcing plans to discuss it on her podcast. She wrote, “Turning Point chops, screws, and premieres Charlie-GPT. Erika gets heckled and called a supporter of pedophiles.”

She added, “Yeah, it’s time for me to get back on air. Monday can’t come fast enough!”

Supporters flooded her post with comments, expressing their disdain for Erika and excitement for Owens’ upcoming commentary. One user eagerly awaited new posts, stating they had been checking Owens’ page “entirely too much for a new post.”

Another supporter voiced frustration with Erika’s actions, calling them “absolutely evil” and demanding an end to politeness in the face of manipulation and lies.

However, not all responses were supportive of Owens. Critics labeled her as “jealous,” with one commenter calling her “predictable” and another suggesting she would be “nothing without her.”

The feud between Owens and Kirk escalated after Charlie was shot during an event at Utah Valley State University on September 10, 2025. Owens had promoted various claims and conspiracy theories surrounding his death.

Despite the animosity between the two women, Erika has garnered support from Vice President JD Vance. He credited her with inspiring his wife, Second Lady Usha Vance, to consider having more children.

In his book, “Communion: Finding My Way Back To Faith,” he recounted a moment when Erika expressed regret over having only two children with Charlie during a time of deep sorrow.

“For years, I’d asked Usha to have another baby, and for years, she told me she was done,” he wrote.
