Teigen faced backlash after the post went live. In response to the uproar, she insisted that the images are not overtly sexual. She stated, “I think because they have been cut into disks and reattached to my body like three times and also they’ve fed babies and stuff, I really don’t think of nips (mine especially) as sexy or risqué but my apologies if you do.”

Despite her defense, the comments section exploded with criticism. One user bluntly asked, “Who wants attention??” Teigen shot back, “I do. thank you so much.”

Another critic chimed in, “Girl put a bra on omg,” while someone else remarked on the perceived need for attention among celebrities. A different follower bluntly told her she’s “too old” to be posting such photos.

Teigen previously revealed that she underwent breast augmentation at 20 years old, primarily for swimsuit modeling. She explained, “I thought, if I’m going to be posing, laid on my back, I want them to be perky!”

However, motherhood changed her body. Teigen noted that after having kids, her breasts “fill[ed] up with milk and deflated,” humorously adding, “Now I am screwed.”

In a candid moment on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” she disclosed that she has had breast surgery three times. “I’ve had a lift, a put in, a take them out. I don’t like them out,” she admitted in January 2024.
