Conor McGregor's Rape Verdict Ignored on Jimmy Fallon: Outrage Erupts

Jun 24 2026

Conor McGregor, found civilly liable for the rape of Ms. Hand by a jury, made a shocking appearance on The Tonight Show, sparking outrage.

Nikita Hand thanked pop star Pink for her vocal support after the singer condemned McGregor's recent TV spot. Pink's social media post featured a side-by-side image of Hand and McGregor, stating, "You ask why women don’t report rape? They do. But men still get platforms and are treated like celebrities."

McGregor's appearance on Jimmy Fallon's show last week drew major backlash. Critics slammed Fallon for giving a platform to a man found liable for such a heinous crime.

Hand reshared Pink's post on Instagram, declaring, "These are the types of famous people we should be following. Famous women and men who support victims. Thank you, Pink."

Actress Christina Ricci also condemned the interview, sharing a post that detailed the brutal nature of Hand's assault. The post highlighted that the EMT who treated Hand commented on the severity of her injuries and that she required surgical removal of a tampon that had been forcefully shoved inside her during the assault.

Fallon welcomed McGregor onto his show without mentioning the 2024 civil ruling that found him liable for raping Hand at the Beacon Hotel in South Dublin.

Hand is set to release her memoir later this year, marking her first public address since the High Court case and McGregor's failed appeal. The book, titled 'Not the Perfect Victim,' is described by publishers Hachette Ireland as "a courageous and groundbreaking book by Nikita Hand." It will detail her experience and is available for pre-order, scheduled for release on September 22.

Hand faced significant challenges in bringing McGregor to court, securing a jury's belief in her account, and defending against his appeal efforts. The Supreme Court ruled late last year that it was "not satisfied that any matter of general public importance arises" from McGregor's appeal.

The court noted that while McGregor raised questions about evidence admissibility related to his right to silence, it did not apply to this case. The court emphasized that the jury's decision was based on established principles regarding trial fairness.

The ruling concluded a lengthy legal battle for Hand, who received €250,000 ($283,762) from a civil jury that determined McGregor assaulted her in a high-profile case that dominated headlines in November 2024.

A jury of four men and eight women ruled in favor of Hand, a former hair colorist from Drimnagh in Dublin, who testified about being brutally raped by McGregor in the penthouse suite of the Beacon Hotel on December 9, 2018.

The jury awarded €248,603.60 ($282,204.86) in damages for Hand's lost income and projected future earnings loss.
