Jimmy Fallon Slammed for Hosting 'Disgraceful' Conor McGregor Amid Assault Allegations
Jimmy Fallon’s decision to host Conor McGregor on his talk show ignited a firestorm of outrage, with critics labeling him “a disgrace.”
McGregor, 37, made a surprise appearance on The Tonight Show to discuss his upcoming fight with Max Holloway, his first bout in five years. This comes as he attempts to claw back into the public eye after a series of injuries and controversies.
In November 2024, McGregor was found liable for sexually assaulting Nikita Hand in Dublin in December 2018. The jury awarded Hand €248,603 (approximately $285,000) in damages after a two-week civil trial. McGregor’s appeal against the verdict in 2025 was unsuccessful.

Viewers were outraged as McGregor appeared on set, leading to a barrage of criticism directed at Fallon. Comments flooded social media, with one user stating, “This is disgusting. Shame on @jimmyfallon.” Another added, “You should be ashamed of yourself!!!”
“No one with an ounce of moral credibility would platform this human piece of trash,” a third user declared. A fourth chimed in, “You’re a disgrace @jimmyfallon having this disgusting man on your show. You have daughters. Shame on you [sic].”
Fallon referred to McGregor as “my man” during the interview and reminisced about their previous outings together. He even celebrated McGregor’s brand by accepting a box of Notorious Cigars as a gift.
McGregor also shared plans to bring his four children to his UFC comeback fight next month, aiming to demonstrate “what discipline, dedication, and commitment can achieve.”

He stated that his children—Conor Jack Jr., Croia Mairead, Rian, and Mack—would witness their father’s entrance before a crowd of 20,000 fans. “They’re going to see their father walk out and see the adoration of 20,000 fans and a great performance,” he said.
The backlash against Fallon intensified as viewers expressed their disgust at the decision to feature McGregor, especially given the serious nature of the allegations against him.
At the Dublin High Court in November 2024, McGregor was found liable for sexual assault against Hand. The ruling has left many questioning Fallon’s judgment in providing a platform for such a controversial figure.

Critics have made it clear that any respect they had for Fallon has evaporated following this incident. One user stated, “Whatever respect [they] had for @FallonTonight is now officially gone.”
McGregor’s past continues to shadow his public appearances, and the decision to host him has sparked fierce debate about accountability and media responsibility.
“I don’t ever want to hear how rape accusations ruin men’s careers,” another critic asserted.
The fallout from this episode raises significant questions about the ethics of celebrity interviews and the responsibilities of those who provide platforms for individuals with serious allegations against them.
