Democrat Marie Gluesenkamp Perez’s Shocking Past of Drug Parties, Kinky Stunts, and a Gruesome Chicken Decapitation Uncovered

A blue-collar Democrat's history is riddled with drug-fueled escapades, including fetish parties and a gruesome chicken decapitation.

Before Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez took control of Washington’s 3rd Congressional District, she was a college politician presiding over a “Latex Fetish Ball,” drug-laden nude gatherings, and even an LSD giveaway.

Former roommates allege that the rising star was a “dumpster diver” who offered spoiled avocados for rent while living in a friend’s “crawl space.” She also reportedly decapitated a chicken during a failed urban farming experiment.

Perez attended Reed College in Portland, Oregon, where she served as a student senator and led the finance committee in 2012.

Social media posts from the time reveal Gluesenkamp Perez secured $4,000 to host a latex-themed “Fetish Ball” featuring a DJ and a “dark room.”

The school’s Fetish Club hosted courses like BDSM 201, which introduced students to flogging, caning, and basic rope bondage, alongside a “kinky crafts” course for DIY bondage gear.

She also fought for funding for the annual Renn Fayre festival, which included nude jogs by students known as “Picts,” who painted their bodies to display their genitals to alumni.

Reed College, with its $74,000 annual tuition, is notorious for its permissive drug culture. A user’s guide circulated among students detailed various substances including pot, cocaine, LSD, and nitrous oxide.

In 2012, Gluesenkamp Perez’s senate organized an “LSD giveaway” at the student union and promoted Nitrogen Day, where students gathered to inhale nitrous oxide on campus.

Former roommates revealed more about her wild past. Isaac Eger claimed she crashed on their couch after a breakup before moving to an attic above the garage.

Eger recalled that she couldn’t afford the “$50, $75 a month” rent and attempted to barter with spoiled fruit, once offering “four feet of rotten avocados.”

“The kind of avocado where you can’t even turn it into guacamole,” he said. “And she’s like, ‘here’s rent.’ I was like, uh, no, absolutely not.”

Eger described her as a “Portland dumpster diver” who shockingly decapitated a chicken while horrified roommates searched for humane methods to kill it.

After graduating from Reed, she allegedly sold “extremely low-quality weed” out of a van. Investigative journalist Dan Boguslaw reported that she moved large quantities of low-grade cannabis around Reed’s campus.

Gluesenkamp Perez graduated from Reed College in 2012 and was described as a “thoughtful, creative student” known for being adventurous.

She later joined the Washington Democrats Executive Committee and helped pass a platform advocating for the decriminalization of drugs and sex work.

The congresswoman did not respond to requests for comment.

In 2022, Gluesenkamp Perez flipped her rural district by defeating Republican Joe Kent, branding herself as a blue-collar Democratic problem-solver.

However, she angered progressives by voting for a Department of Homeland Security funding package that included $10 billion for ICE.

“The Department of Homeland Security is extremely important to my community. I could not in good conscience vote to shut it down,” she stated at the time.

She is currently facing a tough reelection battle against Republican state senate minority leader John Braun.
