Feds Probe Thousands of Social Media Rants by Alleged Trump Assailant
Federal authorities are delving into a vast array of social media posts attributed to Cole Tomas Allen, the 31-year-old accused of plotting to assassinate former President Donald Trump during the White House Correspondent's Association dinner. Reports indicate that Allen, under the usernames "CForce3000" on X and "coldforce" on Bluesky, expressed vehement disdain for Trump, labeling him a "traitor" and voicing frustrations over perceived inaction against him.
In a post from April 2025, Allen, using the handle "coldforce," declared, “Everyone already knows trump is a f****** awful person in multiple dimensions and no one has done s***.” This sentiment reflects a broader narrative he constructed online, where he accused the U.S. government of engaging in "treasonous behavior...that's not fixable with laws," as reported by a major news outlet.
According to a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Washington, Allen employed the alias "cold force" across various online platforms and identified himself as "coldForce" in an emailed manifesto sent to family members prior to his attempted attack at the Washington Hilton hotel.
In this manifesto, he expressed a disturbing resolve: he was "no longer willing to permit a pedophile, rapist, and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes," further declaring that all members of Trump's administration were "targets, prioritized from highest-ranking to lowest."

Reports indicate that Allen traveled from California by train, checking into the hotel on Friday. He allegedly breached a Secret Service checkpoint armed with a shotgun, handgun, and three knives before being apprehended outside the ballroom after an exchange of gunfire.
A senior official from the Justice Department confirmed that Allen had utilized the now-deleted X account. Investigators have reviewed over 4,000 archived posts from this account. Similarly, while his Bluesky account has also been removed, more than 700 posts remain archived. Allen reportedly began posting on Bluesky in February 2025, shortly after Trump began his second term.
In a message last month, “coldforce” lamented, “Put a traitor BACK in office, get treason like, I don’t understand why people are surprised by the US ripping itself apart. I’m pretty sure that’s the expected outcome of having a traitor at the helm.”
Further investigation into Allen's online persona reveals that he self-identified as a "random Californian guy" who attended two secular universities in California, is Protestant, and worked as a teacher. Originally from Torrance, California, he studied at the California Institute of Technology and California State University, Dominguez Hills, where he was involved in campus Christian fellowship and tutored for a test-prep company.

During his arraignment on Monday for three felonies, including the attempted assassination of the president, Allen did not enter a plea. He remains in custody without bond as he awaits a detention hearing scheduled for Thursday.
